Excerpt for Tica's Escape by , available in its entirety at Smashwords

Tica and his friends stood on the branches and stared through the window. His piercing eyes caught the attention of the owners as they tried to dust the glasses.

"Do you think they can hear us?"

Jared's wife asked.

"Don't be surprise, for they are really close."

Her husband replied.

Tica flew on another branch and started to play with his wings to entertain his friends.

"Is it mocking us?"

She continued.

"Hmm, let's see."

Jared walked closer to the window pane and made a funny signal with his face.

Tica stopped as he catched his attention. He hopped on another branch then started to chirp for his friends.

"This bird is distracting me."

She uttered.

"That bird? I think its probably hungry. Let us feed it with some bread."
