About The Author

Tori Had A Little Dog

~For Keroberous the West Highland White Terrier.

Tori had a little dog,

His fur was white as snow.

No matter where Tori went,

Her dog thought he should go.

If she tried to leave without him,

His protests would grow quite loud.

So she arranged a sitter when she

Went where dogs weren’t aloud.

But still her dog grew upset,

Whenever they had to part.

So she took him when she could,

To spare his doggy heart.

~For Keroberous the West Highland White Terrier.

I was sure I heard you barking just this morning,

Just like you used to do every day.

But then I realized I was mistaken.

It wasn’t you, because you’ve gone away.

Suddenly my heart was once more breaking,

Again my soul was being torn in two.

All because someone’s dog was barking,

And it sounded so very much like you.

Running On Your Wheel

~Written for my degus.

I wonder what you think and feel

While you’re running on your wheel.

Your running’s getting you nowhere.

Do you know? Do you care?

Is it like what we do at the gym?

Are you running just to keep slim?
