Christmas Magic

Joyner was a busy business man who lived in a separate town.

He worked hard to organize numerous shows for his media company.

Busy as he was, he missed his daughter Alia, who was quite an angel from the day she was born.

He fondly remembered her annual day at preschool …

…as the best student in class

…and her other childhood experiences.

She was seven years old when he had bid her adieu. And now she was 11 years old. She was the joy of his life.

He tried to imagine, “How she’d be looking now?” And he felt a deep longing in his heart. He had wanted to visit her many times but work wasn’t the only reason for his absence from their lives.

His relations with Elena, his wife, had soured … especially after their honeymoon in Jamaica.

They did enjoy good times together…

But things were different now.

They had loved each other immensely.

But the magic was all gone now. He wept bitterly wondering if things could ever be normal again. He wished, he really wished…

Suddenly out of nowhere, he heard a voice in his heart… “It’s going to be alright.” He felt a spark had ignited his heart, and was warming him up to new life. He felt it deep inside. He felt like the Christmas spirit…of warmth and love and forgiveness had alighted on him!

Now he longed to be with his wife where earlier there had been distress and turmoil. He feared he wouldn’t get leave from his unrelenting work and prayed fervently that his boss would grant him much needed leave to mend the brokenness in his heart.

Much to his delight, his boss granted him a whole week for Christmas!

Now he only needed to pray for Elena to have a change of heart. Full of faith, he prayed that Elena would find it in her heart to forgive him and love him as he loved her. Magic as you might call it, Woolly, the snowman, received the prayerful message. Instantly, he knew he had a task cut out for him, because he felt so in his heart.

He went to Santa to discuss the matter. Santa was only too glad to oblige, “It shall be just as you have asked.”

And so when Christmas day arrived, Santa offered Joyner’s wife the most beautiful gift of forgiveness and love – just as Woolly had wanted.

Now there was no stopping them. Joyner came home to his wonderstruck daughter…

…and his wife -- they hugged like they had never been apart!

They went horse riding and spent much time together.

Good news arrives that his company is opening a new office in Dewsbury, where his family was. Joyner would be overall in-charge. It seemed like prayers did get real answers!

Woolly was delighted beyond words to know how things had changed overnight.
